Attainable housing task force begins work in Saugeen Shores

A task force working on 'attainable housing' in Saugeen Shores is turning to the public for input.

There was a launch event for the Town of Saugeen Shores’ Attainable Housing Task Force Thursday night. And the survey will help the Task Force understand the current needs and desires from the community, information which will be used to make recommendations to Council later this year.

The public can complete the survey online by visiting SaugeenShores.ca/AttainableHousing or paper copies are available at the Municipal Office in Port Elgin and other locations in the town.

The survey will close at noon on October 8th.

“We encourage members of our community as well as those living outside Saugeen Shores to complete the survey,” said Attainable Housing Chair and Vice-Deputy Mayor Mike Myatt. “The Task Force wants to hear from people of all ages and income levels so that we can get a full picture of housing needs in Saugeen Shores.”

The Attainable Housing Task Force encourages the public to view and share their video to learn more about attainable housing in Saugeen Shores.
