Pool in Saugeen Shores to re-open, with new guidelines

The Centennial Pool in Saugeen Shores will reopen to the public beginning September 21st.

Recreational users will see a gradual approach to the re-opening, and all programs will have a reduced capacity.

The most significant change patrons will experience is that all programs, including lane swims and aquafit, must now be pre-booked and no walk ins will be allowed.

Registration can be completed online at SaugeenShores.ca/Register or by calling 519-832-2008 x131.

The public can also visit the town’s website to find new COVID-19 protocols including where to enter the facility, when to arrive, screening information, how to set up an online account to register, and program schedules.

“Aquatics staff are excited to welcome users back to the pool. We can all help this reopening by showing patience and understanding as we adjust to the new protocols,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau.

Users are encouraged to watch the new pool reopening video, which shows patrons what to expect.
