Midwestern Ontario COVID-19 rates remain low

Local cases of COVID-19 remain low, with most parts of Midwestern Ontario reporting no new cases Thursday.

There are no outbreaks reported in long term care, school or daycare settings.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported one active case and no new cases Thursday.

Huron Perth Medical Officer Dr. Miriam Klassen reported no new cases of COVID-19 added to the list on Thursday, with four active cases.  You can now find school closure information on the Huron Perth Public Health website.  Dr. Klassen said parents of children with a positive test do not need to inform anyone other than public health, where they will get further directions.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health reported three active cases in Wellington County where one new case was added to the list. All of those patients are recovering at home.
