Mask protesters speak at Minto council

A group of anti-mask protesters attended Minto council on Tuesday.

Messages on signs carried by those part of the delegation criticized mandatory mask orders, social distancing and said the fear associated with the COVID-19 pandemic is out of control.

Some pointed to the town's website link to COVID-19 not having been updated since June 12th, noting they found it difficult to believe that no new information has been shared with residents to justify being under a continued state of emergency.

One woman asked council to end the state of emergency.

Mayor George Bridge thanked the group for attending, but council had no comments or questions to the delegation.
