Huron County warden urges not to let guard down in COVID-19 fight

Huron County's warden is urging county residents to continue following Huron Perth Public Health guidelines, like social distancing, hand washing and wearing masks.

Ginn said as everyone becomes comfortable with Phase 3, it's very easy to let our guard down and forget what got us to Phase 3.

"Unfortunately we're seeing places like British Columbia and Alberta, increases in cases there. We know it's still circulating in our area, so we have to remain vigilant and it's quite problematic when cases start to go up again,"

Ginn added it won't be long before kids are back at school.

"The safety of the kids at school is largely related to how much of the virus is circulating in the community. We want those kids to be safe so we need to limit the virus in any way we can," added Ginn.

Updates on the COVID-19 virus in Huron County can be found on the HPPH web site.
