A Bruce County man is facing charges following an attempted robbery at a convenience store in Port Elgin.
The Saugeen Shores Police Service said that just before 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, a man forced his way into the store in downtown Port Elgin, but was confronted by an employee who was still finishing up for the day. The two became involved in a struggle and the employee was assaulted.
Hours after police released information about the incident, including pictures of a suspect, a Bruce County man turned himself in at police headquarters. He is now charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and assault.
