Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library ready to open doors to patrons

People can start to browse the shelves again at The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library.

The public will be allowed in the building starting Tuesday, August 11 at 12 p.m. Library staff are hopeful that patrons will bear with the changes that have been made to our services as we work to keep staff and the public safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

For the first stage of re-opening, Library hours will be Tuesday, 12:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday to Friday, 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

People need to continue to follow social distancing guidelines and directional markers while in the building, and everyone is asked to wear a mask. 20 patrons will be allowed in the library at one time for a maximum stay of 30 minutes daily. The final day for patrons to collect items for curbside pickup will be August 7. Items on hold will be placed on the holds shelf starting next Tuesday, and due dates will revert to the regular one week for DVDs and three weeks for all other library materials.

The library will have a limited number of public computers available for use. All library returns should continue to be made to the outside book drop.
