Owen Sound transit riders can ask for a face mask

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is providing free face coverings to Owen Sound transit riders who are unable to access a face mask. A supply of masks has been provided to the city for distribution. Masks will be made available to riders by the transit drivers, upon request.

The masks were made available through the donation of personal protective equipment to the Grey Bruce community by Bruce Power.

“Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, Bruce Power has continually shown a commitment to the health and safety of residents in Grey and Bruce Counties”, stated Mayor Ian Boddy. “We would like to thank them for this generous donation and encourage the continued wearing of face coverings in all indoor public spaces.”

The city requests riders use the transit service for essential trips only, practice physical distancing on the bus, refrain from boarding if you are feeling unwell, and wash your hands before boarding the bus.
