New Christian Virtual School gives parents more options

Bayfield's Virtual High School is supporting the new Christian Virtual School, giving parents another option for the children in these uncertain times.

Registration is now open by visiting christianvirtualschool.com.

"We're still aligned to the Ontario curriculum," said the principal and executive director of the Christian Virtual School Sarah McKercher. "But what we are doing is we're taking a different model so it's a lot more flexible in the online environment and it's self-paced. Students can pick it up whenever they want to and move through the course as quickly or as slowly as they need."

She also says its open to all denominations of Christians.

"It's presented with a Christ-centered worldview," explained McKercher. "We're not aligning to a specific denomination, instead we're presenting multiple worldviews for students."

Parents can register for courses and students can start as soon as the next business day. Students are allowed to take one course at a time or several at once. They have 12 months to submit assessments and write the final exam which is also online.
