Local company donates money to local hospital foundations

A local fuel company has made a generous donation to four local hospital foundations.

Mark Foxton and his wife Lisa Hearnden, the owners of Foxton Fuels, have donated $2,000 apiece to the hospital foundations in Wingham, Listowel, Walkerton and Mount Forest. The money will go toward current medical equipment needs at the hospitals.

Wingham's money will go toward a cautery machine for the OR. Walkerton’s portion will be for an anesthetic machine. Listowel is raising funds for a pharmacy system upgrade and Mount Forest's money will go towards lab equipment upgrades.

Foxton Fuels made the donations in partnership with Petro Canada’s 'Live By The Leaf' community investment program. Hearnden and Foxton have both been longtime community volunteers and donors.
