North Huron expands its services as the province moves into Stage 3

The Township of North Huron is expanding the services it's providing now that the province is in Stage 3 of its reopening plan.

In a release this morning the township says the following services are available:

• The Municipal Office has reopened with physical distancing, hand sanitizing, mask and screening protocols, and separate entrances and exits in place; • Staff continue to be available by phone or email; • Curbside garbage and recycling pick-up continue as normal; • Water and sewer services continue; • The Wingham Landfill remains open with limited forms of payment (debit or pre- approved account); • The splashpad is open subject to a maximum limit of 10 people at any one time, physical distancing and using your own hand sanitizer before and after use; • Sports fields are open for non-team use subject to physical distancing and using your own hand sanitizer before and after use; • Walking trails remain open subject to physical distancing and hand sanitizing; • The daycare centre is open with a limited number of available children’s spaces for priority families; • In-person training for all firefighters has resumed with safety measures and protocols in place; • In-person Council, Committee and Board meetings will resume after safety measures are put into place;

The Wescast Community Complex, Blyth Community Centre, outdoor playgrounds and public washrooms remain closed.
