The week's not over and already Grey-Bruce OPP have charged five people with stunt driving.
On Monday evening, police responded to a complaint of a white SUV being driven aggressively north of Wiarton on Highway 6. They clocked the vehicle at more than 130 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. A 21-year-old Scarborough resident has been charged.
Tuesday afternoon, police stopped another driver from Scarborough doing 140 km/h also on Highway 6 north of Wiarton.
Tuesday evening, a car on Highway 10 near Flesherton was stopped doing 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. A 21-year-old from Brampton is charged.
Wednesday morning police stopped an SUV on Highway 6 in South Bruce Peninsula travelling at 140 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. A 40-year-old from Scarborough is charged.
That afternoon, another car was stopped in the same area doing 145 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. A 66-year-old Oakville resident was charged.
All had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded for seven days.
