Goderich area woman puts explosive experience into words

An author who says she was sent quote "flying through the air" due to an explosion at her house feels her new book can help those dealing with brain injuries.

Brenda Murphy was close to the end of their renovations at their home in Benmiller blew up while she was changing a lightbulb in 2007.

She feels her book, titled "Interior Consciousness: Healing From The Inside Out" has tips that benefit both those that have suffered brain injuries themselves, as well as friends and family members that know someone dealing with this condition.

"We experience limitations that people don't see, so it's frustrating for people around you. It was difficult on my family. Your behaviour changes when you have a brain injury," said Murphy.

She feels her book would also be beneficial to "anyone in the healing modalities, including therapists, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, nurses and doctors".

Murphy's book can be purchased through Fincher's in Goderich and Kincardine, or via her website www.interiorconsciousness.com.
