At approximately 9:45 pm on Thursday, the 3rd of July, Dufferin, Wellington, and Grey County OPP along with Dufferin EMS were dispatched to Southgate-Melancthon Townline near 270 Sideroad for a single-vehicle collision involving an off-road vehicle.
The initial investigation reveals that a 25-year-old man from Southgate had been travelling alone on an ATV when, unknown reasons, the ATV collided with a bridge abutment. The male was ejected landing on the bridge. The rider was transported to a hospital in Mount Forest where it was determined that he has suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is on-going and any witnesses who have not been interviewed are asked to contact Constable Kayla Graham at Dufferin OPP.
