Hanover Fire Department gets $4,000 from Trillium Mutual ROOTS Community Fund

The Hanover Fire Department is getting $4,000 from the Trillium Mutual ROOTS Community Fund to help it buy high angle rescue equipment.

In a release, the fire department said it will allow them to keep current with advances and make sure they are able to save lives when time is of the essence.

The Trillium ROOTS Community Fund was established by Trillium Mutual Insurance Company in Listowel. It supports the rural communities where its policyholders live and serve.

"The ROOTS Community Fund assistance is greatly appreciated," said Deputy Fire Chief, Craig MacArthur. "The funding will assist [Hanover Fire Department] to provide quality equipment to its staff as they look to provide high angle rescue in an effort to save lives within the community. With funding such as this, the department is able to keep current and maintain a high quality of service, while ensuring the safety of firefighters."
