Scammer gains $40,000 from Perth County Bank

Perth County OPP officers are looking for a suspect who scammed a bank for approximately $40,000.

On May 21, 2020, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspect attended the financial institution in the Municipality of North Perth. They provided identification and withdrew about $40,000. It was later determined that the suspect had stolen a person's identity, and the transactions were found to be fraudulent.

Police are now seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. The male suspect is described as approximately 50 years old, with black and grey hair, and was dressed casually at the time of the offence.
