Kincardine eases COVID-19 restrictions around public beaches

Following a release from the Grey-Bruce Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ian Arra, the municipality of Kincardine is easing some restrictions regarding public beaches.

Dr. Arra had introduced an order on May 14th that all beaches in Grey-Bruce be closed to avoid large gatherings during the Victoria Day long weekend. Following Dr. Arra's release on May 28th that the order was rescinded, Kincardine council is allowing the public to walk through the beach areas for exercise or to walk pets. However, social distancing measures are still in place.

There are no large gatherings of more than five at the beach, dogs must still be kept on leashes at all times and stoop and scoop rules still apply for dog owners.Kincardine council will discuss the matter further in a meeting on June 1st.
