Ausable Bayfield Conservation trails open again

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority announced on Friday that all of their trails and properties are, once again, open to the public.

Stewardship, Land and Education Manager Kate Monk said staff were out Friday removing all of the barriers and closed signs at the properties and she expected they would have them all down by the end of the day.

"Hiking, bird watching, that sort of thing. We're not restricting any of the activities that people do, except that they have to practice the health and safety protocols that are put in place for COVID," said Monk.

She said they're not restricting any of the activities people enjoy on the properties but things like washrooms and playground equipment will remain closed.

People will still be required to maintain the two-metre distance and limit the number of people in any group to no more than five.
