The Grey Bruce Health Unit has prohibited garage or yard sales are in Grey and Bruce counties due to provincial bans on public and social gatherings of more than five people.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra said instead residents could use social media swap sites to sell private property and second-hand items using contactless pick-up and drop-offs if possible.
People should also try to use contactless payments like e-transfers.
Public Health Grey Bruce recommends that if contactless pick-up and drop-off of items is not possible that residents should maintain a two-metre distance from others, don't meet anyone if feeling unwell and do not have visitors in the home.
