The current COVID-19 pandemic is just one of the challenges storefronts on Seaforth's main street are dealing with.
Construction is also underway in the area.
Huron East Mayor Bernie MacLellan said despite dealing with the pandemic and the construction work, many of the stores are still open.
"Some are walk-ins, like the Foodland, the drug store, the Dollar Haven and the variety stores and others are offering curbside pickup like Sills Home Hardware, Tim Hortons, dry cleaners and the sewing centre," said MacLellan. "Every week somebody wins a hundred dollars, which is BIA gift certificates that are redeemable in over 75 businesses in Seaforth and then at the end of the year there's a grand prize on December 31 that's a little over $2,000."
