Listowel Technology Inc. extends shutdown

Listowel Technology Inc. will now resume production on April 7.

Human Resources Manager Neil Anstett said that coincides with a shutdown by their largest customer, HCM.

The original shutdown would have lasted until this coming Tuesday.

"With this extra time off on the shutdown, that actually works out to 14 days so it's good that way as we're going to have any associates that were self-isolating hopefully they're through any symptoms that they were showing," said Anstett.

"If they're not able to return on April 7, they should get in touch with us as well, and any associates that were or are self-isolating, they're going to need to call us with an update before they come back," added Anstett.

The automotive parts supplier normally employs about 450 people.
