Huron County Museum opens new exhibit for March Break

The Huron County Museum is presenting a new exhibit to coincide with the March Break.

Business Development Manager Erin Samuell said the Ripple Effect exhibit focuses on the health and history of Huron's lakes and waterways. It is an interactive exhibit meant to engage families and provide opportunities for learning through play.

“We have a giant board game that they can role giant dice and they become the board game pieces themselves and hop around," she said. "There are some interactive magnet walls that they can play with. There's gonna be some crafts and a sandbox and we even have a giant Plinko game that they'll be able to play.”

Samuell said visitors will learn about the animals that live and rely on the habitats provided by the lake.

“They're gonna learn a little bit about the history of the lake and the way it's been used in the past and how that affects how we use it today and how the actions that we take today affect the future,” she said.

The Ripple Effect exhibit will open on March 14th and will run until February of 2021. Special March Break hours are posted below.
