Central Huron hosts wine tasting gala

Central Huron is hosting its third Annual Wine Tasting Gala on Thursday.

The event will be held on the second floor of the Clinton Town Hall.

Community Improvement Coordinator Angela Smith said this year they will showcase three local wineries.

First we have Maelstrom Winery and they've been with us since the inaugural event. Then we added Second Streetlight Winery, which is a Central Huron Winery, that opened last year. New this year is our second Central Huron winery, the Bayfield Berry Farm Winery,” said Smith. “We have music coming from both high schools. We have individual musicians and groups, so we're looking for an evening of terrific music and we're going to have a local trivia challenge during the intermission, so it's going to be an exciting night.”

Tickets can be purchased at the town hall, on Eventbrite, at Maelstrom Winery or at the door.

The Gala starts at 7 p.m. Thursday on the second floor of the town hall and many downtown stores will be open late for anyone who wants to do some shopping before they make their way to the town hall.
