The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) is conducting another province-wide one day strike on Thursday.

Local elementary and secondary schools in Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth will be affected by Thursday’s job action.

A mediator called the bargaining parties back to the table last week, but OECTA President Liz Stuart said in a news release that “instead of coming to the table with a plan to reach an agreement, the government continued to insist on its deep, permanent cuts.”

OECTA members began administrative job action on January 13 and the action will remain in effect for the foreseeable future.
