OPP stop alleged drunk driver in Huron County

Impaired driving charges have been laid in Huron East.

At about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, OPP officers stopped an SUV on Brussels Line and gave the driver a sobriety test, which registered a fail.

A 19-year-old man from Huron East is now charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 milligrams.

His vehicle was impounded, his licence was suspended, and he’s scheduled to appear in court on March 23.
