OPP seek stolen jeep

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officers are investigating the theft of a Jeep Wrangler and the subsequent theft of gasoline that took place early Wednesday morning.

At around 1:30 a.m., a man drove the jeep to a gas bar in Exeter. The man pumped in $69 worth of gas and fled the scene in the vehicle. The man was reportedly wearing a lighter coloured tough duck style jacket.

Investigators later determined the vehicle had been stolen from a business located on Londesboro Road sometime before midnight. The vehicle was left unlocked with the ignition key inside the vehicle.

The stolen vehicle is described as a red, 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ. The vehicle has a custom four-inch lift and a LED light bar on the front. The value of the stolen vehicle is estimated at $15,000.
