Guelph Humane Society assesses 97 vulnerable cats in two days

Guelph Humane Society has experienced overwhelming support after rescuing 97 cats from one location over the past 48 hours.

Spokesperson Louise Frost said the community is making a big difference in helping them provide the vulnerable cats with the support they desperately needed.

GHS has assessed the cats’ basic medical needs and is now adding up the costs for additional and specialized care.

Frost said, surprisingly, most of the cats appear to be in fair condition, considering the number of cats that were living together.

However, several cats have eye issues and others with additional medical conditions are being monitored closely by our team.

The Humane Society is asking people to consider donating a gift to help the cats and the over 100 other animals in their care.
