UPDATE: Snow and wind caused issues on roads

Updated at 12:00 p.m.:

Another round of snow overnight had roads crews busy.

At noon, only a snow squall warning remained in effect for southern areas of Huron County.  It had been effect for Huron and Perth counties up until 9:25 a.m. Sunday. With the snow fall through Saturday and early Sunday morning, the wind created some white out conditions across the region. Roads are still described as snow covered to heavily snow covered with drifted sections. There are no road closures reported by the OPP at this time.

The weather radar showing a thick streamer coming off of Lake Huron, tracking south towards London-Middlesex but did affect large parts of Huron and Perth through most of Sunday morning. That led to a number of church service cancellations through Clinton, Seaforth and ino Mitchell. It had started Sunday morning just north of Goderich and cut through Huron and Perth counties along the Hwy. 86 corridor but moved southeast during the morning.

In Bruce and Grey, roads are also snow covered to snow packed but visibility is moderate to good. Bruce County ending it's 'significant weather' event notification as road crews chipped away Sunday.

In northern areas of Wellington County, roads are snow covered to snow packed. Visibility is reported as good by the MTO.

The wind is expected to gust upwards of 40 km/h at times through the morning then settle through the afternoon. The temperature fell consistently through the morning and we can expected a colder night with the wind chill making it feel colder through the day.
