Police make an arrest after a standoff in Tara
The OPP officers have a man in custody after a high-risk incident on Yonge Street in Tara
It started at about 5 a.m. Tuesday and members of the OPP Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Canine Unit assisted South Bruce OPP at the scene.
Police said it was an isolated incident that did not pose a risk to public safety
Arran Tara Elementary was under a hold and secure situation with the outside doors locked during the incident.
Roads have since re-opened to traffic.
