Emergency responders were involved in a Lake Huron rescue Thursday.
South Bruce OPP officers, Saugeen Shores police, and Bruce County Paramedics responded to a 16-year-old boater in distress in high winds near Southampton around noon Thursday. The teams worked together to safely bring the operator to shore.
His outboard motor had failed, and rescuers also managed to recover the boat.
The victim was exhausted, but because he was wearing a survival suit, the teen was otherwise unharmed.
