Counterfeit American bills passed in Perth County

Perth County OPP officers are trying to track down a suspect passing counterfeit currency.

At about 9 a.m. on Tuesday, investigators were called to a Listowel business after phoney bills were used.

Then at 12:30 p.m, OPP officers investigated a second counterfeit currency complaint at a Perth East business address, east of Stratford.

It was determined that an unknown person entered the businesses and paid for merchandise with counterfeit American currency.
