Rookie MP Alex Ruff hopes for a more united approach when parliament resumes on December 5.
"Let's start working to take care of Canadians and try to resolve some of the divisiveness that's out there, especially when it comes to rural Canada and western Canada," he explained
Since winning the riding, the Conservative MP for Bruce Grey Owen Sound has been busy responding to concerns from residents.
"Immigration issues, to Canada Revenue issues, to agriculture. I mean, the next day I was back out at the Keady sale and was approached by a couple of different farmers on specific issues where they are looking for support," he said. "Affordable housing, broadband rural internet, taxation structure for small business: these are all primary concerns."
Ruff has completed several mp training sessions and is working to hire staff and open offices.
