Wellington North is going to move cautiously regarding audible traffic signals.

Wellington County’s Accessibility Advisory Committee is proposing that the entire county adopt a common program for its audible traffic signals for visually impaired residents.

Wellington North has already installed audible traffic signals in Arthur and Mount Forest, but has been told they are not working properly.

Mayor Andy Lennox said council wants to get audible signals that work properly, but it wants to make sure to “get it right” before proceeding.
