Georgian students shine up Owen Sound

Georgian College students in Owen Sound will be shining anything that can be shined at Shinerama.

The students will be out shining shoes, cars and whatever else they can find starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday until 2 p.m.

This is the 37th year that students are taking part in the annual fundraising event for Cystic Fibrosis Canada

Students will be at several locations across the city taking donations, including Boston Pizza, and Zehrs on 16th Avenue East.

Cystic fibrosis is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. At the present time, there is no cure. CF causes various effects on the body, but mainly impacts the digestive system and lungs.
