Saugeen Shores seeks feedback on tourism

The Town of Saugeen Shores is asking for public input on the state of tourism in the community.

An online survey is available for residents and visitors, and hard copies are available at the Town Office in Port Elgin.

The Tourism Strategy will help the municipality understand the current tourism industry and will showcase opportunities to support tourism in the area.

The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SStourism.

The survey will close on August 9th.   The final Tourism Strategy, including recommendations and an action plan, is expected to be in front of Council later this year.

"Tourism is recognized as an economic driver in the Town of Saugeen Shores and this strategy will help Council make an informed decision on investing in tourism that is both innovative and sustainable," said Mayor Luke Charbonneau.   "Community consultation plays an important role in strategy development and we look forward to hearing from the public".
