Stratford Perth Humane Society at capacity for cats

The Stratford Perth Humane Society is appealing to cat lovers across Midwestern Ontario to help them find "furever" homes for all the cats in its centre.

Senior Marketing and Communications Manager Calla Spencer said they are at capacity and are offering a special promotion.

"All of our adult cats moving forward right now will be a low $50 adoption fee until all of those cats find homes," she said. "We do also have kittens that are available as well for their normal adoption fee of $210."

Spencer said summer is a busy time of year for the Stratford Perth Humane Society.

"It's kitten season," she said. "When we start to hit spring and early summer we find an increase number of kittens and an increased number of people in the community who are looking help with lost kittens, stray kittens, perhaps a litter that has been born through a stray mom."

The Stratford Perth Humane Society also has three sets of bonded pairs - two sets of brothers and a mother/daughter duo they are hoping to find homes for.

The animal centre is open every day of the week but Wednesdays.
