Two stunt drivers face charges after separate incidents in West Grey on Saturday.
Officers observed a motor vehicle passing cars at a high rate of speed on Garafraxa Street North and going through a stop sign. Radar clocked the speed at 105 kilometres per hour in a posted 50 kilometre per hour zone.
Police ended up charging a 24-year-old Hanover man with a G2 drivers license with stunt driving. His driver’s license and vehicle were seized for seven days. and He has a court date set for August 20.
On Saturday evening, officers used radar on a vehicle speeding on Grey County Road 3, which registered at 146 kilometres per hour in a posted 80 kilometre per hour zone. The female driver was further found to have consumed alcohol and was brought to the police station to provide a breath sample.
A 42-year-old Tara resident was charged with impaired driving and racing a motor vehicle. She had her vehicle impounded for seven days and her driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. The suspect has a date at the Walkerton Courthouse on July 24.
