Bruce Power opens huge warehouse in Chesley

Bruce Power has opened a new 116,000 square foot warehouse in Chesley.

The warehouse will be used as a storage space for the large volume of materials that will be received by Bruce Power during the Major Component Replacement Project, which will start in Unit 6 in January of 2020.

The opening of the warehouse expands Bruce Power’s footprint across Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.

"Bruce Power is committed to investing in our local communities, and we’re excited to establish a presence in Chesley," said Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power’s president and CEO. "We’re grateful to the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie for the warm welcome to Chesley and for being a partner in the MCR Project, which will secure our long-term future while ensuring a low-cost supply of clean, reliable electricity for Ontario businesses and families for decades."

"Bruce Power has been a tremendous partner to our region, making significant investments to support local job creation, protect the environment and help build healthy communities for all of us in Bruce, Grey and Huron, while providing reliable, low-cost electricity and medical isotopes," Walker said. "We welcome and appreciate Bruce Power's continued contributions to our local communities, and we are confident the new warehouse will be a valuable addition to their supply chain and refurbishment efforts."
