Police seize $10,000 worth of drugs in Goderich

Huron County OPP seized drugs worth $10,000 in Goderich.

Just after 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, police arrested two people on Gibbons St. as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

After being arrested, both the female and male were taken into custody and searched.

Police seized suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and MDMA, also known as ecstasy.

The female was also allegedly in possession of drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.

And there were outstanding charges from Huron County OPP, City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, Calgary Police Service and Revelstoke RCMP.

Katie Wild, 34, of no fixed address faces multiple charges including Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purposes of Trafficking, Possession of Fentanyl for the Purposes of Trafficking and Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy).

She is in custody with a court appearance scheduled for Friday.

The male was found to be in possession of OxyCodone.

Russell Brandon, 53, of Central Huron is charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking, was released from custody and is due back in court July 29.
