Community Foundation Grey Bruce joins national challenge

Community Foundation Grey Bruce is joining the RBC Future Launch Community Challenge.

The program encourages young people to apply for funding to support their ideas and projects in order to address local and diverse priorities. It also is an opportunity for young people to learn new skills, gain experience, and build relationships in their communities - all things that will help them prepare for future career skills.

Community Foundation Grey Bruce has committed a total of $15,000 in grants in each county for youth-led projects. Grant applications will be accepted until September 18.

"This is incredibly exciting for not only youth but for the entire community," said Executive Director Stuart Reid. "There are many pressing issues important to area youth and to have the opportunity to find creative solutions and truly be a part of the outcome is a great way to make a difference in the community."

Participating community foundations across Canada will make grants and learning opportunities available to youth-led initiatives in 150 communities.
