Grey Bruce Youth Filmfest screening

The Grey Bruce Youth Film Festival screening will take place at the Galaxy Cinemas in Owen Sound Wednesday night.

Everyone is invited to screen 13 short films created by young, local, amateur filmmakers from across Grey and Bruce counties.

Audience members will be treated to a screening of 13 short films created by youth from across Grey and Bruce counties followed by an awards ceremony announcing the winners of the 2019 Grey Bruce Youth Film Festival.

This year’s films include a mediocre heist, a boy who loses his car keys, the apocalypse and more.

The films are created for a teen audience and may contain scenes some viewers may find disturbing

Doors open at 5 p.m. and the screening will begin at 5:30 p.m.

The 2019 Grey Bruce Youth Film Festival is organized by the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library, with the participation and sponsorship of Galaxy Cinemas, the United Way of Bruce Grey, Richard Thomas Communications, Wightman Telecom, the Meaford International Film Festival, Scenic City Film Festival, Bruce County Public Library, Grey Highlands Public Library, Hanover Public Library, Meaford Public Library and West Grey Public Library.
