The Upper Grand District School Board is joining the Wellington Catholic District School board to host a job fair for hundreds of local high school students.
Tuesday's job fair at the Guelph Banquet and Event Centre will bring students completing grades 11 and 12 from across the region, to meet with local employers.
Many employers attending are planning to accept applications and book interviews with qualified candidates that they meet at this event.
Students entering directly into the workforce will have the opportunity to make connections to local employers who are offering entry-level employment positions. Students looking for seasonal employment will also make valuable connections.
Over 30 large and small local employers from across the region were invited to participate. The event is open to students between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The Career Education Council and Second Chance Employment Counselling are also helping put on the event.
