Sauble Falls man faces rabies treatments unless dog found

The Grey Bruce Health Unit says the need to find the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Sauble Beach last evening.

It happened at the victim’s residence on Sauble Falls Road when the victim approached a silver, quad cab, Chevy truck that parked in his laneway to inquire if everything was alright. He was bitten by a large, mixed breed dog, grey and white in colour. The male driver immediately drove away. There were two other dogs also in the truck.

The staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving post-exposure rabies treatment
