Members of the Owen Sound Police Service will be doing some grocery shopping Monday morning.
They'll be joining students from East Ridge and Alexandra Elementary School and the Meaford Optimist Club.
The students will be shopping for healthy non-perishable food at Zehrs, while sticking to a strict budget. Police Service members will be part of the teams. The team coming the closest to their budget without going over, wins the competition.
With the donation and support of local grocers and the Meaford Optimist Club, all of the food will be donated to the local Salvation Army food bank.
The 'Shop With a Cop' event Monday is one of many to mark Police Week in Owen Sound, and across Ontario.
