Minto will contribute to a Wellington County-wide effort to save money.
Council agreed to pay $25,000 toward the cost of a consultant.
The other six Wellington municipalities, along with Wellington County, are contributing the remainder of the estimated cost of $300,000 for the consultant's work.
Minto CAO Chris Harrow said the consultant could recommend cost-cutting efficiencies such as shared fire services or shared roads departments.
