UGDSB names Everyday Heroes

The Upper Grand District School Board has announced the 2019 Everyday Heroes.

The Selection Committee chose 11 finalists from a total of 29 nominees.

This year’s Everyday Hero Awards go to many dedicated schools and board staff, volunteers, and community members.

Winners include the Community Group "Arthur Second Look" in Arthur,  Norwell District Secondary School Head Caretaker Paul Metzger,  and Norwell volunteer Linda Raeburn.

The criteria for the annual awards include performing at a high level at all times, achievements of significant importance to the system, or a unique circumstance worthy of recognition by the board.

The winners will be honoured by the Trustees of the Board at a reception on Wednesday, May 29, starting at 7 p.m. The ceremony will be held in the E. L. Fox Auditorium at John F. Ross CVI, 21 Meyer Dr. in Guelph.
