Running for mental health awareness

Phil Main from Classic Rock Mornings is set to run/walk/crawl 24 kilometres per day during Mental Health Week.

The run starts Monday from Cowbell in Blyth at 12:45 p.m. ending in Wingham for a BBQ and a special event hosted by #LexTalknListen starting at 5:30 p.m.

“This run is being dedicated to the great people we have lost and to those who continue to fight in silence,” said Main.

On Tuesday, May 7, Main will make his way from Mount Forest to Arthur ending at the Arthur Community Centre for a special community event hosted by #GetinTouchforHutch featuring Food Tucks and music by special guest Jamie Warren.

On Wednesday, May 8, Main will be travelling from Mildmay to Walkerton. The day’s event ends with a fundraising BBQ from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart High School with funds going to support Wes For Youth Online.

On Thursday, May 9, Main will be pounding the pavement from Goderich to Clinton in support of the Tanner Steffler Foundation. The run concludes at the Clinton Raceway with a Fundraising Vehicle Pull between local high schools and police, fire and EMS along with a BBQ and Live Music from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The last day of the run is Friday, May 10 from Underwood to Kincardine. The run ends with a BBQ at the Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce Mental Health and Addiction Services with a BBQ starting at 3 p.m.
