Victim Services Huron County to benefit from charity hockey

A charity hockey game coming up in Goderich will support Victim Services Huron County.

The Goderich Fire Department will face off against the Huron County OPP at the Goderich Maitland Recreation Centre on March 30.

Huron Bruce MP Ben Lobb will drop the ceremonial puck at 2 p.m.

Silent Auction prizes will be available during the game along with a 50/50 draw to benefit Adam & Jen Seltzer’s medical expenses for their 10-month-old baby’s illness.

Tickets are $5 each and can be picked up at the Victim Services Huron office inside the Seaforth Arena.

“Victim Services appreciates the ongoing support we get from our first responder partners to hold this event. We love to play off the good-natured rivalry between police and fire, it always brings a lot of fun to the ice,” said Deborah Logue, the executive director with Victim Services. “We really could not do what we do without the amazing support of our community in Huron County. From making donations for the event to attending the game, it all helps us provide awareness of what we do as well as enhancing the services we can provide to the people that need it.”

Call 519-600-4108 and arrangements can be made for tickets to be dropped off. Tickets are also available from any representative of the Goderich Fire Department or the OPP players.
