Bayshore Race returns to Owen Sound Hospital

Participants who want to take part in the annual Bayshore Race for Owen Sound Regional Hospital can register early and save on the fee.

The 10th annual race will take place August 25 starting at the Owen Sound Regional Hospital and setting out on the Rail Trail.

People can walk or run for five kilometres, 10 kilometres, or a half marathon. There's also a 1-kilometre kids fun run.

Co-Director Greg Nicol said they are returning to the hospital site because participants like the course, and enjoy celebrating fundraising efforts right on site.

The early bird deadline for the annual fundraiser is March 31.

“We hope that runners and racer fans will better connect with the venue, seeing first hand where their fundraising efforts support. Our excitement renews as we see this event continue to grow,” said Amy McKinnon, Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation’s executive director.
