Arlene Dickinson to speak in Owen Sound

The Community Foundation Grey Bruce plans to mark its 25th anniversary by bringing "thought leader" Arlene Dickinson to speak in Owen Sound.

The renowned independent marketing communications entrepreneur will give a lecture on "youth in a changing work culture", "women in business" and "entrepreneurship".

“Arlene Dickinson will be the perfect speaker to kickstart a conversation about the future of our community," said Stuart Reid, executive director of the foundation. "She will inspire young people to step into leadership with commitment and creativity.”

The community is invited to spend an evening with Dickinson on Friday, April 12, 2019, at 7 p.m. at East Ridge Community School in Owen Sound.

This event is sponsored by RBC Future Launch and will be the culmination of a day of activities for young people around the release of the Foundation’s Vital Focus on Youth report.

Tickets for the Arlene Dickinson talk are $40 for adults, $10 for youth (under 29) and can be purchased online at www.communityfoundationgreybruce.com. Arlene Dickinson is best known to Canadians as one of the venture capitalists on the award-winning series Dragons’ Den and her new CBC primetime series Under New Management
